Getting started
01What makes GAME OVER stand out as a franchise opportunity?
You get a room library that is already running commercially across the network, not a concept. Immersive storytelling, proprietary hint software and a proven operating model come with the brand — plus the construction crew that builds every room.
02What are the requirements to become a partner?
We look for partners committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences and holding our brand standards. Specific requirements vary by location and market conditions.
03Is there a minimum number of rooms to get started?
Yes — the minimum is 3 or 4 rooms, depending on your region and the type of venue (standalone or shop-in-shop).
04How much space do I need?
It depends on how many rooms your store will have. Each room averages 45 m² (full details are shown on each room's own page). A 4-room store needs roughly 300–350 m² (3,000–3,500 sq ft), including the reception/waiting area, control room, restrooms and storage.
05How much does it cost to open a branch?
The initial investment varies with location, size and local regulations. We offer flexible investment options and provide detailed financial projections for your market before you commit.
06How long does it take from first conversation to opening day?
We can manufacture and install 10 to 12 rooms a month, but demand keeps us booked several months ahead. Your actual start date depends on our availability at the time you sign — and that waiting period is exactly what you’ll need for the buildout of the space, following our plans, and to secure the necessary permits. Once a date is agreed, we have an absolute record of keeping to it. On site, each room takes 3 to 4 days to install, training included.
07Is my city still available?
Check the network page for the countries and cities already running. If yours is free we confirm the territory on the first call, alongside the floor plan and the scenarios available to you.
The scenarios
08What themed experiences can I offer?
34 scenarios spanning mystery, horror, adventure, fantasy, mythology, sci-fi, historical and action — enough to build a line-up that suits your local audience.
09Can I choose which scenarios I run?
Yes. You pick your line-up from the library rather than being assigned rooms, so you can weight it towards the genres your market actually books — and keep a title your neighbours do not have.
10How much floor space does a room need?
Between roughly 30 and 100 m² depending on the scenario; every room page lists its suggested space, player count and puzzle count so you can match the library against the unit you are looking at.
11Are there optional extras on a room build?
Some scenarios have features that come as additional items rather than as standard — a themed ceiling, a water gate, a set piece central to the story. Each room page lists its own under Good to know, and they are priced with your build.
12Are the rooms suitable for every audience?
The brochure rates every room 1 to 5 for difficulty; the library runs from 3 to 5, and the horror rooms differ in intensity. Several are built without jump-scares by default and can have them added on request, so you can position a room for families or for thrill-seekers.
Construction
13How does GAME OVER set up the rooms?
Our construction team comes to your location and builds everything from scratch. Our software experts deliver your website and booking system, and the marketing team sets up your social channels and supplies all artwork.
14Do I need to hire local contractors?
No. The set, props, electronics and puzzle mechanics are built by our own crew to the same standard as every other branch, which is what keeps the rooms consistent across the network.
15How long does the on-site build take?
3 to 4 days per room, training included. The real variable isn’t the install — it’s when we can get to you. We manufacture and install 10 to 12 rooms a month, and demand keeps us booked several months out; once your date is set, we hold to it without exception.
16What state does the space need to be in before you arrive?
A shell with power, water and the partition walls in place is enough. We handle set construction, prop making, electronics and the puzzle integration on top of that.
Software
17What software do I operate on?
Three proprietary tools: the Autohelp Hint System for delivering clues in-room, the Room Control Panel for running the game, and the Leaderboard for scores and player records. They are included with the franchise, not licensed separately.
18What does the Autohelp Hint System do?
It delivers hint videos into the room so a game master is not improvising clues over a speaker. Players get a consistent nudge, the pacing holds, and one operator can run more rooms at once.
19Do I get a website and booking system?
Yes. Our software team delivers your site and booking flow as part of the setup, so you take reservations from day one rather than commissioning a separate web build.
20Are the hint videos in my language?
Every scenario ships with the Autohelp hint videos in English and in your local language, so the room runs for local players without you producing anything yourself.
Marketing
21What marketing support comes with the franchise?
Three departments work on your branch: graphics for artwork and print, web for the site and booking flow, and social for your channels and campaigns. It is a working team rather than a brand-guidelines PDF.
22Do I get the room trailers and set photography?
Yes — every scenario comes with its trailer and set photography, supplied ready to publish on your own site and social channels.
23Who sets up my social channels?
The marketing team sets them up and supplies the artwork; you run the day-to-day with campaign material and a content plan behind you.
24Do I get artwork for local campaigns?
Yes. The graphics department supplies the campaign artwork, print material and room assets, adapted to your language and local promotions.
Running the branch
25What support can I expect as a partner?
Site selection, initial setup, staff training, marketing strategy and ongoing operational guidance, plus access to our proprietary technology and game designs. Support does not stop at handover.
26How is my team trained?
Your game masters are trained on the rooms and on the control software before opening, so the team can run a full day of sessions from the first booking rather than learning on paying players.
27What happens after opening day?
You stay on the operational support line, keep receiving software updates and marketing material, and can add scenarios from the library as you grow. Support does not stop at handover.
28Can I see a branch running before I commit?
Yes. Visiting a working branch is the fastest way to understand the operation, and we will arrange the closest one to you during the conversation.
Nothing here matches “”. Ask us directly and we will answer it — and add it to this page.
